Our Personal Assistants

The Personal Assistant team work closely to promote the interests of our customers.

Every applicant is individually interviewed by a senior member of the team. The following checks are done on each member of our team:

 

  • Check character references from previous employers
  • Verify with the Disclosure and Barring Service
  • Must have or be working towards NVQ Care qualification
  • Language skills in English, Sign Language and other community languages
  • Undertake comprehensive induction and orientation along with Manual Handling, First Aid and Safeguarding training Courses
  • Specialist training in Dementia and medication support
  • Undertake regular reviews and supervision meetings to maintain quality of service
